Magical Moments Around the World is dedicated to showing that all humans share a unique spirit connecting us all. It is also dedicated to spreading light in ourselves and others. To raise awareness in our ability to summon up good feelings and a reverence of life.
Envision a world that is guided by compassion and respect. By reading other peoples magical moments we become aware that our happiness is connected to other peoples happiness.

There’s a human spirit that embraces and connects us all. So simple yet all encompassing. It dwells in every human being. There’s a human spirit that is us, and at once also bigger than us. It transcends everything we know. We can feel this spirit by remembering our own personal Magical Moment and ride its waves as we relate to other peoples’ Magical Moments. Once realized our awareness shifts towards a global conscious of unity. We live with a collective awareness of compassion. We realize that we all want to avoid suffering and live happily. We see that others’ desires for happiness are the same as mine.

We are all linked at a level which is hidden from the eye. We are all brothers and sisters of the same family. We are all part of the same fiber, so if you hurt someone else you’re also hurting yourself. Most people can’t comprehend this basic natural truth, because they’re afraid that there’s not enough to go around, and they’re constantly competing against one another instead of helping one another.

Interacting

Students are able to introduce themselves, publish their MM, add digital media and communicate with their peers in other countries via the web based project collaboration center. For instance one student can communicate with another student from a different country that his/her magical moment touched his/her heart. And in so doing develops cross cultural friendship. The student experiences international interaction, openness to other cultures, ability to accept someone different, with the awareness that basically we all want to be happy.

Teachers are also able to communicate via this forum by going into the Teachers Room of the forum. Communication is facilitated by the networking structure of iEARN (International Education and Resource Network), The collaboration center has a forum and gallery. GALLERY SECTION - A repository for youth-produced photos, videos, documents, and other files that are available for viewing at any time by logged in iEARN participants. Media is only viewable to a wider audience if educators choose to release it for public viewing. FORUM SECTION - Forums are the heart of interaction.

• Give inspiration, hope and a sense of well being to all of humankind. Spreading light in ourselves and others. Raising awareness in our ability to summon up good feelings. A reverence of life.
• Foster awareness that we all share a common human spirit that transcends nationality, religion, borders and race. Thus inspiring feelings of compassion, mutual care and understanding between human beings.
• Creating a new awareness/spirit of coexistence among the various peoples, religions and cultures within a single interconnected civilization. Showing that we are all part of one big human family sharing a unique human spirit connecting us all.
• Deepen pro-social values such as kindness, helpfulness, personal responsibility and respect for others.
• Make this awareness part of a curricula for peace and ethics in every school.

• Uniting schools from all over the world in writing the Magical Moments Around the World book
• Displaying the Magical Moments Around the World book in places such as schools, hospitals, museums etc.
• Establishing a curricula for peace and ethics by integrating Magical Moments Around the World as an educational tool in schools and organizations.
• Creating a website with all magical moments in different languages.
• Print a book with an anthology of magical moments, in different languages, every few years. With all profits going to needy children.
• Bringing together people from all around the world to participate in Magical Moment day, which will be celebrated once a year worldwide.
• Creating a network of international partners, including United Nations agencies, non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
  

A magical moment is a special and unforgettable event that you experienced in your life. It could be simple or heroic, but what matters is that special feeling you experienced. By telling about your magical moment you rekindle an instance in your life, touching a special spirit deep within you. People who listen are also touched, inspired, given hope and therapy.

Because a Magical Moment reveals our deep human spirit it actually transcends many boundaries of all types between humans. Therefore someone brought up to hate someone else can suddenly relate to his/her so called “enemy”. We learn that we are all connected. We learn that if someone else is happy we are happy too.
