On New Year’s Eve just after 12 p.m. my brother and I saw through the window that our neighbor was starting some fireworks, we decided to go outside and see it. We were out for over an hour even though it was freezing. When we came in again our fingers and ears were like ice, but it had been so beautiful. The heavens were illuminated, and you could see millions of stars behind the many colors from the fireworks. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.
