My magical moment was very interesting. It was my first flight by plane. And it wasn‘t just a simple flight, it was the flight to the USA.
We started the trip early in the morning. The flight had been lasting for nine hours. It was very exhausting, but when I got out of the plane I felt very happy and cheerful. I travelled there with the church choir. I and the church choir girls visited the Lithuanian parish in Detroit. We had a wonderful time because we did a lot of sightseeing, sang in the church. For example, we saw the Niagara Falls. I liked Chicago town the most, because I saw the views which reminded me ones that I had already seen in the films.
I spent two weeks in the USA – far from my family and friends. At the beginning I felt slightly alone, but the second week was really amazing. I started to feel like at home. People are very happy and friendly in America. I found new friends, they are children of Lithuanian emigrants in the USA. I listened how they talk about Lithuania, that was amazing!
I will remember that moment for the rest of my life.
