It was my first day of first grade, and I barely knew anyone. As I was walking down the hallway, I accidentally dropped my binder. My hands were full of books so I had a hard time picking up my binder. With my binder on the ground and my hands full of books, I was very frustrated. Then, a stranger about my age picked up the binder for me and smiled at me. I said thank you and she responded with a no problem. We introduced ourselves, and ever since first grade she was my closest friend and still is. Because of her, she made me feel less lonely in school.
