I was about to cross a road one day, a double track with heavy traffic, when a little 5 years old girl came to me asking to help her cross. I suddenly felt fearful, wondering how parents can leave such a little girl to cross by herself. So I took her hand and we crossed the road together. I guided the little girl to their front door that faces the road. I then told her not to go through such a route without a guide and the child promised me she will never try again. Then she said, “bye-bye Tanti”, smiling and running to her compound. I was very pleased by her gesture.
